So we all know that Italian tomatoes are the best in the world, significantly better than those grown in other EU/outside EU countries - I'm not being mean it's just true 😉 

But what I bet you didn't know is that when it comes to tinned tomatoes it's all about the "TOG"!!

I know, who knew! The TOG rating on a tin of tomatoes tells us how much tomato there is in the tin compared to added water. In the UK the average TOG is 1.5 for a tin of 2.5kg tomatoes. That means there is 1.5kg of actual tomato in that tin. Which is normal.

What's not normal is that here at RichLuigi™ we've sourced 100% Italian tomatoes from our partners at Sol è Napule that carry the higher TOG rating of 1.7. So our 2.5kg tin gives you 0.2kg more tomato, which in one tin isn't all that much right, but across a whole pallet it's a whopping 66kg or an extra 26 tins of tomatoes!!

That's our added value promise in action, yep we only went and made the best better! :)
